Hello, I’m Ivy,  and welcome to my little bit of the universe called The Confection Cove! Here I can show you all of the recipes that are swirling in my mind, and all of the sweet treats I simply must share.

I first got my start blogging through my love of books and writing. I created The Hardback Hollow (CC’s sister) in 2015 to allow me to review everything that I read in a dedicated space, and really just to explore what blogging was like. Something about having a place for my thoughts, somewhere where I could express my passion for books and know that people were listening, intrigued me. And here I am, starting a new blog to do the very same thing but for my love of baking.

I’m a home-baker (I wish I could say professional), and I live in the beautiful Northeast. I’ve been baking since I was 5 (if taste-testing my Grandma’s batter and pouring in the ingredients counts) and I give away sweets probably more than I should (people have diets, I’ve learned). Books and cupcakes are two of my favorite things, as you’ve probably already guessed, and mastering the Art of the Cupcake became my mission back in 2015. Finding the perfect ingredients, techniques, and special touches to create the ultimate cupcake is difficult, yes, but not impossible.
